the prospector ride

the Ridge Top Ride
$200 per Rider
Pack your favorite lunch and join us for a picturesque picnic on top of the mountain. Our ride departs daily at 11am and takes you to the summit where you can enjoy a 30 minute lunch break with breathtaking views of the Stanley Basin and the Sawtooth Mountains. This ride is perfect for adventurous couples and families who want to experience something unique. Plus, all rides are private to your party, so you can enjoy the ride at your own pace.
the loping Ride
$250 per rider
Get ready for an exhilarating adventure with our loping ride! This 2-hour loop around the ranch is for experienced riders looking for an advanced pace. We'll lope along safe trail sections, with a maximum of 4 riders per ride to ensure a personalized experience. Saddle up and join us for a thrilling horseback riding experience!

Round pen lesson
starting at $75
In the 30-min lesson, you'll learn the Language of Equus, gaining a deep understanding of how to communicate with horses using body language on the ground in the round pen. This hands-on experience is the perfect way to develop a strong connection with these magnificent animals. It is perfect for beginners or those looking to deepen their understanding of horsemanship.
In the 1-hour lesson includes a riding session tailored to your individual skill level. Experienced instructors will guide you through the lesson, helping you to develop and refine your riding abilities.

Buckaroos in Training
starting at $75
Sign your kids up for Buckaroos in Training! This program is perfect for young kiddos who want some quality horse time. From round pen sessions and grooming to saddling, pony rides, and more, your kids will get to experience the joy of working with these majestic animals. Capture the smiles on their faces with photos, and let them bond with the horses by giving them treats. An unforgettable experience awaits!

What you need to know:

Reservations are required as all of our rides are private to your party. Please arrive 15 minutes before your ride to get checked in and meet and greet with your horse.

The max accommodations is 10 riders per private party.

Children MUST be 6 years old or older to ride. We do not allow double riding. Helmets are provided for all riders, children 6-14 are required to wear riding helmets. Minors MUST be accompanied by adult or legal guardian.

Our weight limits; under 5'5" 170lb, 5'6"-5'8" 200lb, 5'9"-5'11" 230lb and 6"+ 250lb. We do require guests height/weights and riding experience when booking. Anyone over these weights will be putting the horses and themselves at risk.

Cancellation policy: Guests are eligible for a full refund 72 hours in advance before their scheduled ride. If it is within the 72 hours of the scheduled ride, guests can receive a gift certificate valid for one year after booking date. Guests that cancel within 24 hours of their ride will not receive a refund.

Water and trail mix are provided on all of our rides. If anyone has a peanut allergy please let us know in advance. Other personal belongings such as a jacket, camera, sunglasses, etc. and can be stored in the saddle bags on your horse. Backpacks are not allowed.

Guests must wear proper riding attire, such as closed toed shoes and long pants. We also recommend bringing a jackets, hat, and sunglasses. If rain is forecasted, please bring a rain jacket.

Gratuity for your wrangler is great appreciated. An average tip is 20%. Guests with reservations of 7 or more will be charged a 20% gratuity.

We will meet you at the Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch Corrals at the lower ranch. Located on the West side of Highway 75, turn off at the green mail box at mile marker 180, then head towards the Salmon river. Follow the signs towards the driveway to the corrals just behind the big barn.
